I've managed to get some cards photographed before they were sold at the show and here's a bunch that I cased from the Hero Arts blog (created by Sally). I loved the way they turned out :))

Paper Romance Challenge

Happy Thursday :)

After battling a horrific sinus infection for nearly 2 weeks, things are looking up. I'm back in my craft room and working overtime to complete the bazillion orders I have!

On the brighter side of things, we have a new challenge this week over at Paper Romance. We want to see BLACK AND WHITE + ONE COLOR. I can't wait to see some of the combos ya'll come up with :)

Here is my take. I created a couple, both using the stamp Flying High Fhiona. I really wanted to try something different with the black background. I'm kinda "meh" on this one but I guess that's what creating is all about....you win some, you lose some! LOL

Although the other card I loooove! So so simple and fun. A great card for someone going off to high school or college I think :)

The winner (chosen at random) will win a $5 Gift Certificate to the Paper Romance Store.

Birthday Hugs

Hey folks :)
Gonna post super fast today. It's 9am here and LOTS to do!

I figured out that orange or anything shade that comes close to it is the bane of my crafting existence! This card must have changes about 5 times before I decided to "settle".
I am always up for a challenge but when my eyes start to bug and nerves start to rise... my brain tells me "slowly back away from the table....close the light and this night NEVER happened." Is this the end of orange in my life? Nah....but it's nice to vent to people that actually know what I'm talking about :)

Anyway, I did try to combine for a few challenges...

Got to Love Grandmother's

I have to say, I'm kind of scared to think of what my life's path would have been without the influence of my Grandmother. Avo (as I call her) has been my strength my whole life. From the age of 5 days old till now, she never fails me. We went to visit her and my Grandfather (which is my knight in shining armor) and the girls had a blast. The best part was Lia saying that she wants to live there! She was actually jealous of me living there when I was young...lol

Most of us can ask our Grandparents anything. Me? lol. I ask her for old fabrics, floss and just about anything that can be stuck on paper! She taught me how to sew, knit AND crochet at the age of 6, but sadly, as I grew older, I took on other things that consumed my time. I look back and regret not keeping up with it but it doesn't seem to bother her. She is quite content with the choices I made. Small ones and big. Good and bad.

So after asking, she digs deep into her bin'o'fabrics and pulls out 2 boxes. Who would have thought that the smell of old cloth would be so exciting! YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT DON'T YOU?!

A little bit of this and that...... oh and that too! LOL Knowing my dear Grandmother, once I left she was probably digging around to see what else she could find for my next visit!

Here is few pictures of the wondrous ones with the girls......

And the little hidden treasures I came home with.......

So with that said, I quickly put them to work! This card is for my final GDS over at Crafts 4 Eternity. I had a terrific time working with them and their sketches always get my noggin workin'. Be sure to give them a peek....or two. Thanks again ladies ;-)
Here is what's going on this week:
1. Use the sketch
2. Use Fabrics
3. Use inking technique

So here is what I came up with........
