Birthdays And Fashion With Sir Stampalot

~~~Happy April~~~
A WHOLE lot happening this month for me. Lia's Birthday is on the 4th and party on the 9th so it's crunch time! Almost all of the decorations were done by hand so celebrations kinda started last month...LOL. The only way I can stay on top of things is to designate a day for each room in the house so Birthday/Spring clean up begins! UGH....
On the brighter side of things, It's a new month sooooo new challenge for Sir Stampalot :))
Why I am posting about them? Well.......
Back in October I had won their Autumn Breeze Challenge and they asked me to guest design this month! How happy was I? AM I??? UBER!!!!
Along with the monthly challenge which is Women And Fashion, the team and I have something special for you ;)
Sir Stampalot turns 1!!!
So now for the real fun bit.........this month the Design Team will be displaying their work on their own blogs only. And on the Sir Stampalot Blog we have a collection of pictures and pieces of artwork.............It was going to be jumbled all up, but that would be a bit too wicked, so they have been paired up.......a picture of each DT member along with a piece of their work which they have selected best depicts their style of crafting, plus a snipped from their DT piece for the month. Have you guessed what you need to do......? That's right, you have to decide which of our Design Team fits which mystery DT member. When you think you have the answers mail Brenda@ibas.co.uk with your list. There will be three small prizes for those with all or the most correct pairings that reach Brenda before 25th April. Any after that date will not be included.
So now that ya got the nitty gritty, here is my take on the Women And Fashion Challenge....
I really stepped out of my usual for this one! Such a special month so I wanted to create something with "Oomph" lol
This was soooooo much fun to make. Actually quite simple. I sat in front of the T.V fanning and folding for a couple of hours, did some inking and started to piece it all together. The dress formation I made out of paper mache. The top of her dress I simply glued directly on her body. I started with the bottom layer and worked my way up. Every second layer, I added some tulle and stringed pearls. Once I got to the top, it became a little tricky. I used all paper scraps for the entire dress so it was heavy cardstock. Bending and molding obviously wasn't going to work so with the fanning in front.....she looks like a prom girl from the late 80's! LMBO
Well, there ya go! I'm sure this won't be my last time making one of these. She will probably join the party table for Lia's Birthday. Lovely Lia is very proud of her and me :))
Here are a few challenges I'd like to enter....
Paper Crafting Journey: For the Ladies in your Life
Have you guessed which picture/art piece belongs to me yet ? I'll give you a clue.................................................................
